Lynne Tillman is a novelist, critic, and teacher who has published widely on the arts. Her most recent story collection, The Complete Madame Realism and Other Stories will be published by Semiotext(e) in Fall, 2016. Tillman’s second book of essays What Would Lynne Tillman Do? (2014) was a Finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award in Criticism. She writes a bi-monthly column for Frieze art magazine and has received a Guggenheim Fellowship (2006), and a Creative Capital/Warhol Foundation grant for arts writing (2014). Her sixth novel, Men and Apparitions, will appear in 2017.
